What format of file should a graphic designer, give that clients can edit? I use CorelDraw. They sometimes need a file that they can edit by themselves. Converting PDF to word changes the formatting of the layout. Please help!

Several reasons. I use CorelDRAW. It gives you options to optimise for the target. Web, standard (print) etc. This is a good thing, because you'll need to decide who to target. Secondly, if the logo is a raster file (BMP, JPEG, PNG etc.) as opposed to a vector, that will increase its size. Thirdly, if there are lots and lots of same coloured regions, weld them together into one region. The way PDF files are generated is standard. Raster images are stored as XObject. Whilst vector images are stored as paths. PDF files normally follow. Most of the Postscript standard applies. So check what you've got. If CorelDRAW transforms the image to a raster graphic then stores it, it'll be bigger. So check your save (publish as PDF) options.

Convert PDF: All You Need to Know

If there are few, it can work. If there are lots, then look at if you could fit all your text in one region of the image. As a first line, check for that! Or, try something a bit different (like creating all your text out of straight lines?). If everything looks good, then print it and see how things look. If it's too big, or you need to use it more than once, and it still seems 'small' (say on a laptop screen), you can scale it down. If it looks too large, print it bigger. If it looks right then all's fine. So, that's where the image is stored! If you're printing more than one image, you need to check that the same region is used for each file. For example, let's say the text is on a page that uses a different color image for each page, then it's quite.
